Introducing: WCML – Birmingham to Crewe
With the recent announcement of our first product coming to Train Sim World 6, we wanted to give you a closer look at the route. This will be our first development diary giving you a chance to learn more about the route before it releases. So let’s dive in!
Summary of the route:
From the fast paced West Coast Mainline to the heart of the Black Country, WCML – Birmingham to Crewe has it all. Start your journey at the busiest station outside london and work your way through the industrial heartbeat of the Black Country and onwards to the rest of the West Coast Mainline, joining back up at Stafford where you will then be met with tight bends, rural landscapes and plenty of mainline traffic.
Your final approach into Crewe is a railway experience in itself. Long known as a major hub in the national network, Crewe features wide sweeping platforms, complex track layouts and operational detail at every turn. It is a fitting end point for a route defined by pace, presence and purpose.
Whether you enjoy fast paced express runs, local commuter services, freight runs or depot shunting, there’s something for everyone.
The route will come with the iconic BR Class 350 and 3 of it’s subclasses, all of which are represented in liveries matching the 2019 era that the timetable is based on. The 3 subclasses included are the following:
– Class 350/1
– Class 350/2
– Class 350/3
Alongside this, we have included the special “British Transport Police” Livery represented on 350235 in 2019. Each subclass has it’s own unique passenger interiors too.
Moving on, whilst we would love to give full insight on what to expect with our first route, we will have to leave you in some suspense for now however, enjoy some fantastic screenshots of the route in the meantime.
We will be back again soon with more updates about the route but for now be sure to catch the DTG Train Sim World Roadmap stream over on YouTube at 7pm BST by clicking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhaMma2FmNc
